Public discussion regarding the
Code of Good Agricultural Practice
for the protection of Water from
Nitrogen Contamination
The Greek Ministry of Agricultural
Development has opened this
discussion
at:
up to April 9, 2015.
The discussion is connected to the
reform of the existing code
(85167/820/06-04-2000 (Greek State
Governemental Gazzete Β’ 477) which
is in action in the framework of EU
Directive 91/676.

ICID, WatSave Awards 2015 – Call
for Nominations
Nominations are invited for the
‘WatSave
Awards
2015’
from
individuals/ team through National
Committees/ Committee latest by 15
June 2015. The WatSave Awards are
given in four categories: (i)
Technology; (ii) Innovative Water
Management; (iii) Young Professional;
and (iv) Farmers.
The idea of routing the nominations
through the NC is to receive only one
nomination per category per country
after an initial scanning of the
nominations for a sequential ordering
based on merit and recommending
only one nomination. ICID member
country can also support one
nomination from a non-member
country, but every country should
present only one candidate per
category.
The award(s) is/are presented to an
individual or a team for the outstanding
contribution to water conservation /
water saving for increasing the
beneficial and/ or efficient use of water
to develop and improve the
sustainable use of the critical
resource.
URBACT networks are approved
through competitive calls for
proposals
For 2014-2020, different calls for
proposals for the 3 types of networks
will be launched.
The first Call for Proposals for the
creation of up to 20 Action Planning
Networks is now open!
The main objective of Action Planning
Networks is to improve the capacity of
European cities to manage sustainable
urban policies and more especially to
strengthen their ability to design
integrated strategies for sustainable
urban development. By taking part in
an Action Planning Network, cities
exchange and share experiences,
problems and possible solutions,
generating new ideas to address
challenges related to sustainable
urban development.
Balkan-Mediterranean Programme
The framework for the three new
programmes succeeding South East
Europe programme in the next seven
years:
ADRION,
