The International Commission of
Agricultural
Engineering
(CIGR,
Commission Internationale du Génie
Rural) is an international, non-
governmental, non-profit organization
consisting of a network of Regional
and National Societies of Agricultural
Engineering as well as private and
public companies and individuals
worldwide. CIGR was created by a
Constituent Assembly on the occasion
of the first International Congress of
Agricultural Engineering, held in Liege,
Belgium in 1930.

CEDIA - the Confederation of
European Agronomist Associations- is
the umbrella body, which represents
professional agronomists associations
in Europe. It was founded on 23 June
1987, following an initiative by national
agronomists attached to the European
Institutions in Brussels. On 13th
October 1996 CEDIA became an
official non-profit organization. Cedia is
primarily interested in the ensuring that
