the 2014 Call for proposals for LIFE
Action Grants. The call covers
proposals for both LIFE sub-
programmes.

Day
to
Combat
Desertification 2014
On the occasion of the 2014 World
Day to Combat Desertification FAO
hosted (17/6) an event on “Land for
Life – How Sustainable Land
Management can Improve People’s
Livelihood and Resilience”.
The event highlighted activities of
FAO, UNCCD and the Governments of
Italy and Kuwait to combat
desertification, land degradation and
drought and present the priorities of
the newly established GM office at
FAO.

The Fifth edition of UNISCAPE's
International Photo Competition is
launched.
The contest is open to all students
attending
any
pan-European
University and is divided in 3 sections:
Mining landscapes
Landscapes for playing
Waterfronts
The deadline for submitting entries is
the 30
th
of September 2014.
Photos (max 3) and the participation
form
should
be
sent
to:
The Jury appointed by UNISCAPE will
select a winner for each section.
Each winner will be awarded with a
300 euro prize and his/her photos will
be published on UNISCAPE’s website.
